Any delivery after 36 weeks is normal and not prematured.
- Pack your bags -
So have your admission bags packed right now and have the essentials with you.
Example: If you need this teddy bear to sleep, bring it.
Very important things to bring:
1) Hp charger
2) Camera, Charger if required.
3) Mummy's Clothes - Prefer Huge Shirts that are long with buttons for easy feeding
4) Maternity Pad (They give, but you need more)
5) Underwear
6) Identity Card
7) Admission Card
8) Names of baby, Chinese Character, English and Hanyu Pinyin to register during the stay there
9) New set of baby clothes to change to when you bring baby home. (Include everything from mittens to swaddle wrap)
10) Credit Card
11) A warm, easy to wear jacket
After delivery, a month of confinement follows.
So i would think it's a good idea to have your wife enjoy all the seafood that she likes before delivery. She can indulge in her favourite chilli crab even a day before her scheduled date.
You may set up the baby cot now if you wish. But if you are superstitious like me, set it up after the baby is born. It does not take very long.
Hard as it is, you will never know when your baby is due. He/She may come at any moment and may even be longer then the scheduled/expected date. But it's a good idea to start looking out for "Baby Shower" location.
If you are throwing it at home, it's easy. Just look for cathering.
Additional things like cakes can be settled and confirmed too.
If you are throwing the baby shower at an external place. Check availablity of the location regularly, so that you know your choices.
Do not book anything yet, unless you do not mind an earlier date for Baby Shower as again, you really have no idea when the baby will be born.
- Decide if Daddy wants to go into OP-T to view the whole process -
I would strongly recommend to go, if you are not afraid of blood.
The moment you child is born is amazing and breath-taking. If you witness the process.
I am pretty sure, you will start to love your wife even more.
Both Daddy & Mummy is getting very excited and unsure of what to do.
Make sure to go for weekly follow up.
But sit back, relax and await the big day.
There is nothing to do.
